About the Role
As a Customer Service Advisor you’ll:
1. Get to know our members and support them in finding the right products and services that can provide Real Help With Real Life - whether that’s saving for a gap year trip, buying a first home, or anything in between.
2. Facilitate great conversations confidently through channel of choice, as you support our members in branch, over the phone and with the operation of their accounts online.
3. Forget sales targets, and enjoy the freedom to do what’s right.

“Our Birmingham New Street branch sits right in the heart of Birmingham City Centre, with all three of the city’s major train stations within a 10-minute walk of the branch and regular bus services from all around the surrounding areas making us easy to reach by public transport, as well as a large network of public car parks across the City Centre.
There’s never a dull moment in the branch as we support our members with their savings and mortgage needs and strive to get their money working to help them with real life. Whether serving members at the counter, completing account applications in an office, conducting telephone appointments, or simply helping members gain more understanding of technology and the digital services available to them, we do it all at YBS New Street.
Our commitment to our members and the local community doesn’t stop inside the branch. We also have time for volunteering opportunities locally, with our national charitable partner, Fareshare, having a local warehouse just three miles away, along with a host of other locally based charities that our colleagues can spend time volunteering at.
