Founded in 1879, we entered the footballing world with the name Swindon AFC, soon becoming Spartans and finally Swindon Town FC in 1883. The club turned professional in 1894 as a founder of the southern league and competed in the then Western League. Fall forward many years to recent history and the club has enjoyed many high moments through lifting the EFL Trophy with Don Rogers, competing in European Competitions in the 1970’s to gaining promotion to the Premier league in the early 1990’s. Winning ways continued through the 2000’s with League wins in 2012 and 2020. The Academy Our Academy has been dedicated to helping young individuals unlock their maximum potential as people and players for many years. The Role Carry out all related tasks to ensure the role requirements are fulfilled to EPPP requirements. Support development of young people on and away from the pitch linked to academy values and syllabus. Flexibility for additional requirements within the role. UEFA B Qualification. Hold EFAIF Level 2 & Safeguarding Children Qualification. Clean DBS criminal records check. Hours: 10-15 hours. Training will be a maximum of 3 evenings per week from Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday Morning depending on age group, plus Sunday game day. Rate of pay: £35 per session.
