DSV is looking to recruit a Customer Service Specialist in Feltham. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company committed to providing quality, innovative value and logistics services to meet customers’ requirements for the safe and efficient transport of their cargo effectively and in accordance with company operational procedures and statutory requirements including Health & Safety.
Key Tasks
1. Timely and effective communication with Customers, partners & internal departments via e-mail & telephone.
2. Effective monitoring to ensure deliveries are completed within the agreed timelines.
3. Pro-active problem solving with customers and colleagues when issues arise.
4. Resolve Credit Management Queries where necessary.
5. General Day to Day administrative duties.
Skills and Competencies
1. Provision of PODs to meet customer requirements where necessary.
2. Provide KPI and reports both externally and internally where required.
3. Ensure consignments are rated correctly in order to Invoice in an accurate and timely manner.
4. Ensure that all Delivery and Collection consignments are conforming to correct information.
5. Liaise with Operations and overseas offices to ensure customer commitments are delivered upon.
6. Updating / Verifying the DSV Order Management System with customer booking details.
Required Skills
1. Be Customer focused with dedication in your service delivery to meet Customer needs.
2. Ability to maintain a positive mindset when working under pressure, re-prioritising workload where necessary.
3. Be reliable with the ability to multitask and have strong problem-solving skills.
4. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and numeracy.
5. Excellent IT skills with the ability to learn new systems quickly as required.
6. Excellent communication skills both verbal/written with a polite, courteous and professional telephone manner.
7. Knowledge of the freight transport industry.
