Job Description Summary:
The Field Service Technician will be assigned a truck and travel daily to customer job sites to repair and maintain equipment. This role requires experienced, responsible technicians who can diagnose and repair equipment while working independently. The technician will troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems and perform repair work on a wide variety of equipment.
* Repair types can include: complete machine overhauls, minor repairs such as fixing leaks, changing fluids and filters, and rebuilding components such as engines, transmissions, hydraulic cylinders, and hydraulic pumps.
* Diagnostics can include: checking pressures, checking voltage, and locating sources of noise or vibration.
* The Field Technician will disassemble machines, order parts, make repairs, assemble machines, and check machine operation to ensure repairs are complete and confirm that the problem is fixed and the machine is work-ready.
The technician will use Anderson’s systems to document work orders, track progress of repairs, and order parts. Focus on safety protocols and regulations must be maintained at all times.
Required Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent with a two-year Technical degree or comparable military training;
* Minimum of 5 years work experience in heavy equipment repair and maintenance;
* Must be able to demonstrate working knowledge of equipment operations, mechanical functions, electrical and hydraulic systems;
* Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to work with other technicians or independently while out in the field;
* Proficiency with computers and diagnostic programs provided by manufacturers;
* Ownership of adequate hand tools;
* Must have a valid Driver’s License; CDL is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits:
* Compensation depends on location, experience/skills, overtime: $34.00-$45.00 per hour.
