What You'll Do
The Global Benefits Senior Manager will be a *key driver of BCG’s health, life, and income protection programs* across EMESA (Europe, Middle East, Africa & South America). Acting as a *technical insurance expert and trusted advisor* to regional HR, Finance and other stakeholders, you will help shape resilient, forward-looking benefits plans that align with BCG’s duty of care and business priorities. You’ll ensure programs across health, life, disability, and business travel insurance remain compliant, sustainable, and strategically impactful in markets facing complex regulatory and cost dynamics.
This role reports to the Global Benefits Insurance Director and supports strategic initiatives within the Global Benefits Centre of Expertise (COE), which is at the forefront of thought leadership and leveraging AI to drive innovation and benefits industry transformation.
*Key Responsibilities*
*Strategic & Technical Leadership*
* Lead the review and design of insurance programs across Healthcare, Life, Disability, and Business Travel in EMESA markets.
* Advise on policy wording, premium structures, contract negotiations, and insurer capabilities.
* Partner with Finance and HR to *balance cost optimization with EVP*
*Stakeholder Advisory*
* Serve as a *go-to advisor* to local and regional HR and Finance teams for all insurance-related matters.
* Translate complex benefits insurance and claims data into *actionable insights* to support leadership decision-making and renewals.
* Foster close collaboration with insurers and brokers to uphold BCG’s standards for plan integrity and financial sustainability.
*Digital-First Enablement*
* Partner with the *MyBenefits portal enablement team* to ensure the platform supports *localized delivery of benefits information* and engagement strategies.
* Be an influencer for digital simplification and user-centric design while recognising regional nuances in benefits literacy and access.
*Data-Driven Claims Management*
* Leverage medical and disability claims experience to monitor trends, guide plan design, and support renewals.
* Use data to inform *risk mitigation and prevention strategies*, especially for high-cost conditions like MSK, Mental Health and cancer.
* Collaborate with vendors to improve reporting transparency, and support targeted interventions. .
*Governance & Compliance*
* Ensure compliance with local statutory and regulatory frameworks in EMESA markets.
* Identify opportunities to streamline benefits administration and *embed stewardship principles aligned with BCG’s EVP*.
What You'll Bring
* 7+ years of experience in *regional benefits management or global benefits consulting*, preferably with exposure to Middle Eastern and Latin American markets.
* Proven track record in benefits *insurance plan design, renewal management, and vendor negotiation*.
* Strong analytical and storytelling skills using health and disability claims data.
* Experience working with digital platforms to support benefits delivery and engagement.
* Proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, or Italian would be a plus.
* Extensive knowledge of group healthcare, life assurance, disability, and related benefits programs (including BTA, Short-Term Disability (STD), and AD&D) and the insurance markets that support these offerings.
* Proven expertise in plan design, policy wording, contract negotiation, and vendor management across benefits programs in the EMESA region.
* Advanced analytical and critical thinking skills to evaluate insurance contracts, leverage insured claims data, and develop actionable insights that enhance benefits offerings.
* Proven ability to i*nfluence and advise* senior stakeholders, including HR and Finance, on complex benefits matters.
* Experience delivering *insight-led recommendations* that improve cost control and employee outcomes.
* Clear communicator and collaborator across diverse teams, with cultural fluency in working across European, Middle Eastern, African and South American markets.
* Proficient in developing trust-based relationships across matrixed global teams.
