Rainbow ward is one of several paediatric areas and this role will include rotations to the Children's Assessment Unit, QEQM and Dolphin Day case Ward at the Kent And Canterbury Hospital. This provides a breadth of exciting opportunities for learning, development and progression.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 paediatric nurse (or adult nurse with paediatric experience) to join the team based on Rainbow Ward at the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital in Margate. This role includes an exciting opportunity to work on the acute inpatient ward, a children's assessment unit and children's day surgery and ambulatory unit.
Main duties of the job
To provide consistently safe and high-quality care in a busy, fast-paced environment. Caring for Children and young people in the acute inpatient Children's ward, Children's assessment unit and day case ward.

Person specification
Qualifications and Training
* Registered Nurse Child (or in final year of training) or Adult Nurse with Paediatric experience.
Clinical skills and experience
* Recent clinical experience in a Child Health environment.
* Previous experience at Band 5 within specialty.
* Evidence of ongoing personal and professional development.
Personal and professional attributes
* Ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbally.
* Excellent time management and personal organization skills.
Other
* Understands and can demonstrate how they will implement the Trust we care values in their everyday work.
