Community Integrated Care is one of the UK’s largest health and social care charities. We work hard to enrich the lives of people with many different care needs. It’s exciting and rewarding work, and we’re full of pride and passion for what we do. Since the early days, we’ve grown to provide many innovative and bespoke care services to thousands of people across England and Scotland. We want to provide support based on the principles of choice, dignity, and respect. This resonates in our vision of ‘Your Life, Your Choice’ and our strategy ‘Best Lives Possible’. We have strong values and we’re proud to pioneer new ways of delivering social care to stand out in our sector. In the past two years, we have won or made the shortlist for over national and regional awards!
We are also focused on our people. Our Support Workers are dedicated and passionate about going ‘the extra mile’ for the people we support, and in return, we go the extra mile for them by investing in pay, recognition, wellbeing, and continued professional and personal development. We will provide you with all the training, support, and personal protective equipment you need in your role and will help you develop, should you decide you want to develop your career with us.
Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:
Are you seeking a career that offers variety and is rewarding? Do you enjoy working with people and want to make a real difference? This could be the ideal career opportunity for you! We currently have opportunities for caring, enthusiastic, and self-motivated individuals to join our team in the town of Ellon. In this role, you will be supporting 2 ladies and a gent who live in their own shared bungalow situated conveniently for the community and local amenities. They have a large garden and shared spaces within their home. The people we support here range from age 54-76 and have their own individual personalities and needs, including visual and hearing impairments, wheelchair mobility, learning disabilities, Down Syndrome, and Cerebral Palsy. They enjoy a wide range of activities including Scottish music, socializing with family and friends, walking, going to cafes, going out in the car, swimming, and arts and crafts.
We are recruiting for fun, patient, and responsible individuals to join the team. Staff are also trained in core specialist areas as required. There are 2 members of the team working at any one time and one member of staff on sleepover. Shift patterns include next and day shift. We are looking to fill a 30-hour role.
Your values:
We know it takes a special person to work in social care, and we recognize that not everyone that would be perfect for the role will have professional experience. This is why we're really passionate about recruiting individuals’ values, and we recruit people from all walks of life; from those with vast experience in a support worker or care assistant role, to those with lived experiences who may have friends or relatives with disabilities or have looked after older relatives, to people with no experience at all. Naturally, it is important too that you share our company values - We Include; We Deliver; We Aspire; We Respect; We Enable, which are at the heart of everything we do and ensure that we deliver high quality, consistent care and support.
People's values are important to us, so we look for people with:
1. A problem solver
2. Resilience
3. Patience
4. Empathy, compassion, and sensitivity to others
5. A strong work ethic
6. Reliability
7. Honesty
8. Determination
