A growing, reputable Law Firm in Blackburn is looking for a driven and dedicated Industrial Disease paralegal with a focus on Noise Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL) claims - including Ministry of Defence.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Manage NIHL and industrial disease claims from start to finish.
2. Conduct assessments, take witness statements, and secure medical evidence.
3. Draft legal documents, including claim letters and court papers.
4. Liaise with clients, medical professionals, barristers, insurers, and defendants.
5. Investigate breaches of health and safety regulations.
6. Ensure compliance with CPR and pre-action protocols.
7. Stay updated on industrial disease litigation developments.
Skills & Experience:
1. Proven experience handling a caseload of Noise Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL) Industrial Disease claims.
2. Excellent client care, legal research, and organisational skills.
3. Ability to manage a busy caseload independently.
4. Proficient in case management systems.
Desirable:
1. Experience with asbestos, HAVs, or respiratory illness claims.
2. Knowledge of medical causation and expert reports.
