Introduction The Quality Inspector will be responsible for ensuring all products meet the necessary standards, specifications and requirements set by both TT Electronics and regulatory authorities. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of compliance requirements in the aerospace industry, with specific knowledge in mechanical and electronic components compliant with IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards. The Quality Inspector will play a critical role in identifying deviations, implementing correction / corrective actions and maintaining the integrity of our products. Key Responsibilities Inspect mechanical and electronic components, assemblies and products to ensure they meet the required specifications and standards. Perform incoming and final inspection activities on products which have been returned by our customers as part of the Customer Logistics Support function. Conduct incoming inspections, in-process inspections and final inspections to ensure compliance to the defined requirements. Evaluate and interpret technical drawings, specifications and quality standards, including IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620. Identify deviations from design specifications and collaborate with the Engineering team to rectify them. Review supplier submitted First Article Inspection Reports to ensure compliance to AS9102. Maintain clear and consistent communication with the Operations Team to understand production and incoming priorities. Provide assurance and advice to the Quality Engineering Manager regarding Inspection performance, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement Verify all manufacturing documents are complete, accurate and comply with all traceability and deviation management requirements Identify and document any non-conformities as well as collaborating with the relevant teams to perform quality investigations Support Management with the control of non-conforming parts and associated RCCA Identifying and diagnosing workmanship problems in Production processes using 5Why’s or similar method and leading CAPA activities. Essential Strong inspection skills for both mechanical and electronic components. Essential Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment such as FARO Arm, Height Gauge, Micrometers etc. Essential Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions. Essential Strong attention to detail in all aspects of work. Essential Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to create clear and detailed reports. Essential The ability to review suppliers FAIRs to ensure compliance to AS9102 Desirable K nowledge In-depth knowledge and understanding of aerospace regulations, specifically those set by the CAA. Essential Comprehensive knowledge of AS9100 standards and quality management systems. Essential Familiarity with IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 Desirable (training can be provided) Awareness of current industry best practises, standards and regulatory requirements. Essential Proven experience with inspections and compliance within a heavily regulated environment. Essential Experience in handling design deviations and non-conformances in a production setting. Desirable Experience in quality management systems and tools, such as 8D methodology, root cause analysis and corrective action. Desirable Experience in the review of First Article Inspection Reports Desirable Essential Competencies Ability to interpret technical drawings, engineering specifications and standards (IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620). Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to create clear and detailed reports. Continually attain satisfactory compliance with Quality, Safety, Security and HSE requirements. A minimum of 3-5 years experience in a Quality role within the Aerospace industry, preferably within a civil aerospace environment.
