What’s the mission?
You will work closely with the Managing Director and the leadership team across Sales, Marketing, and Operations to develop, lead, and implement a customer-focused technical, design, and engineering strategy that will support our future growth plans while managing a cross-functional team across the UK.
You’ll lead and inspire a talented team, driving innovation and operational excellence. Your strategic vision will be instrumental in developing and executing a roadmap that positions us as industry leaders. You’ll build strong client relationships, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards! Your technical expertise will be invaluable in guiding the team and delivering innovative solutions.
You’ll be a people person with excellent communication and influencing skills to engage with internal departments, clients, and contractors while representing the business through external trade and legislative bodies.
This is an exciting opportunity for a people leader with extensive technical or civil engineering experience to play an active part in developing the function and supporting the business in achieving goals! Regular travel will require you to attend office/site visits across the UK.
What are the mission-critical skills?
* Minimum 5+ years Technical or civil engineering background
* A relevant engineering qualification to degree/chartered level
* Experience using design software packages such as AUTOCAD, Revit, or 3D Civils
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Problem solver with a professional, ‘can do’ attitude
* Experience of people and change management
* Ability to work at leadership level to develop and implement strategic plans
* Previous experience within the drainage, water management, or SuDS sectors is desirable
