Teaching Assistant (level 2)
Full-time, Permanent, Leyland
We are looking for a motivated and dedicated Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join our friendly and supportive team in Leyland. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students and help create a positive, engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide support to the class teacher in planning, delivering, and evaluating lessons.
2. Assist students with their learning both individually and in small groups.
3. Help students with their personal, social, and emotional development.
4. Support the teacher in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
5. Prepare resources and assist with classroom organisation.
6. Monitor and track students’ progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
7. Foster a supportive and inclusive environment for all students, helping them achieve their full potential.
Essential Criteria:
1. Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
2. Experience of working with children, ideally in a primary or secondary school setting.
3. Strong understanding of the curriculum and effective teaching practices.
4. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
5. A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to supporting students.
6. Ability to assist in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining an engaging learning environment.
Desirable:
1. Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
2. Knowledge of additional support strategies, such as behaviour management techniques or phonics.
