In this high-impact position, you’ll negotiate critical supplier contracts, manage risks, and ensure compliance, while maximising value for the business. Main responsibilities of the role include: Lead negotiations for both ongoing and new supplier contracts, ensuring the best outcomes for Serco. Advise procurement, operational, and functional teams on commercial and contractual issues such as disputes, restructures, and terminations. Summarise commercial and contractual risks for senior stakeholders, ensuring informed decision-making. Design and implement policies, templates, and playbooks to reflect best practices in supplier contracting. Deliver training to teams, empowering them to handle contracting and negotiation activities independently. What you’ll need: Significant experience in buy-side commercial contracting, preferably with suppliers in IT, professional services, and facilities management. Strong knowledge of commercial contracts, including business-to-government contracts. Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to tailor strategies to the context of each deal. Experience advising at all levels of the organization, from front-line staff to senior leadership. The ability to manage multiple priorities and effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
