What You’ll Do As a Senior Business Operations Manager, you will act as a key enablement partner to the Director and manage and align the internal and external governance of the Global Technology VOIS, IT Operations and Vodafone Cloud and Infrastructure (VCI) organisation. You will ensure the strategic alignment across the business with effective internal and external communications, driving the latest Technology strategy roadmap into the various TechVOIS, IT Ops and VCI teams. As the Senior Business Operations Manager, you will build close working relationships with senior leaders in a global organisation and will present content intended for director level audiences – thus requiring a strong technical understanding of the organisation and associated business acumen. The role acts as a key interface between the broader organisation and the Director’s office, therefore able to prioritise and filter important topics as and when required. Key responsibilities: This role requires a highly capable, motivated, energised and flexible manager who has the breadth and depth of Telecoms knowledge and Business understanding. Manage the TechVOIS, IT Ops & Infrastructure governance (senior Management Governance of Leadership Team Meeting and Operational Reviews including co-ordination, action review and quality control of input.) Establish, manage and monitor effective reporting of TechVOIS, IT Ops & Infrastructure performance to all key stakeholders and executive governance bodies Drive the development of the overall TechVOIS, IT Ops & Infrastructure strategy aligned with the Technology 2025 priorities Coordinate and represent TechVOIS, IT Ops & Infrastructure in various cross-functional bodies and SteerCos Build relationships with the Group Technology and CSO functional directors in order to deliver effectively Partner with HR and Comms specialists to drive the Internal & External Communications strategy for TechVOIS, IT Ops & Infrastructure Run and manage cross-functional business process transformation teams, coordinate workshops and agreed deliverables towards execution Support and monitor overall People Plan and co-lead specific projects as required with HR and People Function Leaders Manage and implement internal Compliance initiatives for TechVOIS, IT Ops & Infrastructure in alignment with Group Counsel and Group Technology initiatives. Your accountabilities will span across Travel, GDPR, Anti-Bribery, Trade Controls, Sanctions, Business Continuity & Risk Management Who You Are Core knowledge and experience: Experience in Technology and/or Business function and strong technical understanding of Telecommunication Networks, IT and Product & Services Experience in working in virtual and multinational teams, with proven record of delivering goals in matrix organisations Ability to understand and communicate & influence on strategic issues at Board/Director level Ability to work pro-actively on a day-to-day basis with minimum guidance on ad-hoc requirements Ability to manage multiple & changing priorities and take accountability for decisions made Ability to express and communicate clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences Technical / professional qualifications: Degree qualification (IT/engineering/or MBA) and minimum 5 years’ experience in a Technology function Fluent in English (spoken and written), Second language preferred Strong programme and project management processes (i.e. project planning, control and reporting, risk management, etc.) Experience in a technology team (Networks or IT) Excellent influencing, organisational & communication skills (both written and spoken) A continuous improvement mindset of processes and activities and propose the implementation of optimisation initiatives Not a perfect fit?
