Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated Estates Officer who will be based in the Estates Department at Duncan Macmillan House, Nottingham, NG3 6AA. The post holder is required to play a proactive part within the Estates Operational Management team to meet Trust objectives in a safe, cost effective, efficient manner in compliance with legislation and good practice.
As an Estates Officer, the post holder will report directly to the Estates Engineering Building Services Manager and provide effective management and leadership support for Estates Operational Maintenance, Additional Works, Capital Backlog and Maintenance Services, supported by performance management arrangements. You will encourage team working by providing the varied skills that support the department’s philosophy and flexible working. Training will be available in elements required but the post holder will need to have sound engineering skills, working across all Trust sites to maintain various building related systems, plant and equipment.

The post holder will be a member of a small group of managerial/technical staff who manage and operate complex technical systems and processes across the Trust, ensuring compliance with Trust standards, procedures and legislation. Delivered through specialist service contractors and the teams own direct labour workforce.
You will be appointed as authorised person, nominated person and responsible lead person duties for appropriate roles as required, in keeping with Hospital Technical Memorandums (HTM) and Health and Safety documentation.
Applicant should have an engineering related ONC/HNC or a higher level qualification and have relevant experience to enable them to undertake the duties of the post.
You will be required to participate in the Estates & Facilities Directorate emergency on-call rota.

Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change.
