Duties specific to role:
1. Provide leadership and support on quality and compliance.
2. Lead reporting on Safety Events and implementation of learning.
3. Produce quality and assurance reports for the Management Board.
4. Attend the Board to present these when required.
5. Ensure robust clinical governance systems are in place.
6. Ensure prompt and compliant responses to requests for data from patients, and from third parties where legitimate.
7. Enhance patient satisfaction and experience through quality improvement.
8. Ensure training is in place to support quality assurance, risk management, and patient safety.
9. Assist the Operations team in effective risk management.
10. Act as Deputy Caldicott Guardian, ensuring safe and appropriate data sharing.
11. Conduct clinical governance reviews and audit, ensuring compliance with NICE guidelines.
12. Operate independently within agreed frameworks, escalating risks as necessary.
13. Ensure cost-effective service delivery and budget alignment with quality priorities.
14. Ensure services meet CQC, NICE, ICO and contractual clinical requirements.
15. Ensure requirements of the NHS Data Security and Protection Toolkit are met.
Working conditions:
1. Frequent, prolonged VDU use.
2. High levels of accuracy and attention to detail essential at all times.
3. Occasional work in a time pressured environment.
4. Some exposure to distressing situations and written material.
