LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT
Location: Silsoe
Reporting to: Senior Landscape Architect/Project Manager
An opportunity has arisen for a talented Landscape Architect to join a dynamic team based in Silsoe. This role involves working on diverse landscape projects, including residential, commercial, and public realm developments, with a focus on sustainable and innovative design solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND SKILLS
* Develop creative and practical landscape designs that meet client and project requirements.
* Conduct site analysis, feasibility studies, and environmental impact assessments.
* Prepare detailed technical drawings, masterplans, and planting schemes.
* Collaborate with architects, planners, engineers, and other professionals.
* Ensure compliance with planning policies, environmental regulations, and industry standards.
* Work on a range of projects from concept design through to construction and completion.
* Provide input on material selection, sustainability considerations, and biodiversity strategies.
* Engage with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities, presenting proposals effectively.
* Use industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and GIS tools.
* Manage projects within time and budget constraints while maintaining high design standards.
REQUIREMENTS
* Degree or Master s in Landscape Architecture or related field.
* Chartered Membership or working towards Chartered status with the Landscape Institute (LI).
* Strong design, presentation, and technical skills.
* Experience with relevant software, including CAD and visualisation tools.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Passion for sustainable and environmentally responsible design.
* A valid UK driving licence is preferred.
