Salary: £44, - £56, per annum

Role Overview:
As the Senior Procurement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing work streams across various departments within the FM/Operational category/s, supporting current requirements, and designing solutions to reduce costs and risks.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Procurement
1. Collaborate with senior university officers to align procurement strategies with university policies and legal requirements.
2. Develop best value framework contracts, work with purchasing consortia, and ensure effective communication of purchasing advice and information.
3. Devise, develop, promote, and deliver procurement-led transformation programmes, strategic sourcing, and cost reduction initiatives to achieve improved value for money for the university.
Operational Procurement
4. Ensure compliance with university and statutory requirements in all aspects of procurement within the Estates Division.
5. Manage sourcing, e-tendering, negotiation, selection, and contracting services to reduce risk, maximise value, and ensure compliance.
6. Oversee the preparation of tender documentation, manage the negotiation process with suppliers, and produce detailed decision reports for major appointments.
7. Maintain a full audit trail for all procurement's and ensure effective records of all procurement and contracting practices are maintained.
8. Undertake special project work as required and deliver presentations/coaching to others outside of the team.
Person Specification:
9. 5- 10 years experience working within Operational and FM Procurement.
10. Confident at applying modern procurement techniques such as Value for Money and Whole Life Costing.
11. Experience managing procurement projects exceeding £50m.
12. Line management experience and developing direct reports.
13. Understanding and conformity to Public Contracts Regulations (PCR).
14. Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) and qualified to level 4 or above.
15. Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
