As Senior Project Manager, you will be to lead the delivery of programmes of change from initiation through to service transition, matrix managing all project resources and managing relationships/deliverables with third party providers and internal stakeholders.
You will also be responsible for supporting the Programme Manager in delivery of the overall portfolio, including supporting with scoping, definition and management of resources across the team.
Your responsibilities are to include:
1. Successful delivery of IT/Business programmes and projects including estimates, plans, resource management, schedule, scope, requirements, solutions, budget and deliverables.
2. Motivation and leadership of team members driving team engagement through the provision of guidance, technical support and coaching of team members.
3. Quality Assurance of project deliverables across the programme/project. Ensure all project artefacts are produced in accordance with PMO process and guidelines, including project resource assignments and usage
4. Supporting the Programme Manager in the allocations of resources across the teams.
5. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with all key stakeholder across business and IT
6. Maintaining and communicating interdependencies from their Project within and across the Programme, and contribute to the Portfolio cross dependencies
7. Full budget accountability for their programmes/projects
8. Resource managing your team and supporting resource allocations across teams.
9. Supporting the Programme Manager to build a team by recruiting Permanent, FTC or Contract Project Managers or Analysts to deliver the Programme / Projects in their area of responsibility. Ensure effective onboarding and knowledge transfer.
10. Full responsibility for delivery of their own programmes/projects.
Skills and experience needed:
11. PMP, Prince 2 or equivalent certification
12. Agile qualification or experience
13. Demonstrable experience in managing IT projects and experience of shaping, scoping and delivering medium and large projects
14. Experience of procurement and management of 3rd party suppliers for services, software and infrastructure
15. Experience of working in a matrix function alongside Business, Service Architecture, Operations and Security functions
16. An outcome driven mindset with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
17. Demonstrable experience of managing portfolio/programme deliveries
18. People management experience including performance reviews, career development, coaching and mentoring
19. Experience of managing Project Managers in the delivery of simple, medium and large projects
20. Experience of procurement and management of 3rd party suppliers for services, software and infrastructure
21. Experience of working in a matrix function alongside Business, Service Architecture, Operations and Security functions
