Job title: Young Persons Personal Assistant (PA)
Reporting to: JR Clinical Training & Case Management
Location: South Gloucestershire
Job purpose:
To assist with various tasks which will enable the young person who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.
About the employer:
This is direct employment by the young person.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Keep in touch and socialise with family and friends
2. Attend medical appointments
3. Support with a rehabilitation programme
4. Attend social events such as the cinema
5. Personal care: assisting in preparing for bed, performing exercises/physiotherapy with scope to assist with other personal care tasks.
6. Domestic duties: include supporting the cooking and serving of nutritious meals and snacks, cleaning, changing linen, and laundry. Other domestic chores may be required at the employer's request. These duties will vary each shift.

3. Other: Due to the nature of this role, which includes medical/personal care, the potential employer will be considering female applicants only.
What you can expect to receive:
JR Clinical Training & Case Management is the regulated provider that provides training, induction, supervision, appraisals, and full support to successful candidates. Rolling two-week rota and every other Saturday.
Hours of work: 20 hours per week with the potential to increase in the future, shifts to be discussed.

Skills, qualifications and experience
Essential skills:
1. Driving licence
2. NVQ level 2/3
3. Experience of educational support and good basic knowledge of Maths and English
4. Knowledge of equestrianism or willingness to learn
5. Able to swim
6. Confidentiality
7. Good at building relationships
Preferred:
1. Likes dogs or other pets
2. A good listener
3. Ability to support people with behaviours which challenge.
