What you'll do You will be supporting the Company Secretary to ensure efficient governance of Sainsbury's Bank. Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring regulatory and statutory compliance, providing proactive and effective Company Secretarial support to the Bank's Board, Board Sub-Committees, and Executive Committees. This will involve creating, documenting, and maintaining accurate records of papers, presentations, and decisions taken at key Governance committees, arranging Board and Committee meetings, and deputising for the Company Secretary when necessary. You will also contribute to the improvement and streamlining of the Bank's Corporate Governance framework, maintain regulatory and statutory records, and liaise with stakeholders to ensure smooth organisation of key Governance committees. Additionally, you will stay updated with Corporate Governance best practices, manage the Bank's relationship with external service providers, and demonstrate excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Your attention to detail, ability to manage and prioritise workload, and professional approach will contribute to your success in this role. Who you are You are a highly experienced professional with a background in company secretarial or legal functions. Your exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage and prioritise your workload ensure the efficient governance of the Bank, maintaining regulatory and statutory compliance. With your excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you provide proactive and effective company secretarial support to the Bank's Board, Board Sub-Committees, and Executive Committees. Your proficiency in word processing, note-taking, and secretarial tasks, combined with your knowledge of various software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio, enable you to efficiently create and maintain records, arrange meetings, prepare minutes, and handle the Bank's Annual Report process. Your professionalism, discretion, and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment make you a valuable asset in managing confidential matters and building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
