Teaching Assistant - St Mary's Church of England Primary School
Location: Amersham
The role will be for a minimum of 27 hours a week and may also include lunch duties.
The role is varied and will involve working with children on a one to one basis and within small groups.

Salary Type: Bucks pay
Salary details: R1B6-10 £23,297 - £24,223 pro rata per annum (dependent on experience)
Contract type: Fixed Term
Hours: Monday to Friday 9-3:20pm

Duties
To provide support to teachers in the management of pupils' learning.
1. Assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction and guidance of the head teacher, SENCO, and class teachers.
2. Attend to pupils' personal needs, including social, health, hygiene, first-aid, and welfare matters.
3. Prepare classrooms and clear afterwards and assist with the display of pupils' work.
4. Provide clerical/admin support, e.g. photocopying, typing, filing, collecting money, record keeping.
5. Assist with the planning and delivery of learning activities.
6. Accompany teachers and pupils on out-of-school activities and take responsibility for a group, under the direction of a teacher.
7. Undertake playground duties.

Additional Information
The jobholder is required to contribute to and support the overall aims and ethos of the school. All staff are required to participate in training and other learning activities, and in performance management and development, as required by the school's policies and practice. Set a good example in terms of dress, punctuality, and attendance. The duties described above may vary from time to time without changing their general character or the levels of responsibility entailed and are intended to provide a broad indication of what is included in the job. Different emphases may be given to different aspects according to the requirements of the school and, in particular, the age of the pupils.
