Required for September 2025 - we are looking for an outstanding teacher with a number of years’ experience and a proven track record of raising attainment to join our wonderful school. We are looking for a teacher who has the enthusiasm to ‘make a difference’ in the lives and learning of all our children who are in our successful school; this post is permanent and the position is likely to be in our EYFS area, so experience of this including pre-school is desirable. We will be looking for candidates who have taught in a variety of age phases, and who have the skills and knowledge to be adaptable. It is essential that candidates specify their curriculum strengths within their application.
Sherdley Primary School is a good school that is a two-form entry school with a Pre-school provision. We have a hard working team of teachers and support staff who work effectively together. The successful candidates must:
· Be very clear about their school experience and their subject strengths
· Be an excellent, experienced classroom practitioner, who has a thorough working knowledge of the curriculum across a variety of age phases
· Demonstrate high expectations for all pupils, including key groups such as PPG, SEN
· Promote outstanding behaviour for learning
· Demonstrate excellent behaviour management strategies and outstanding pastoral care
· Use effectively a wide range of creative approaches to the delivery of the curriculum
· Be willing to contribute to the wider life of the school community, including after-school clubs/activities.
