About the Role As a KS1 Class Teacher, you will create a positive and engaging learning environment, tailored to meet the individual needs of students with a range of SEND. You will play a vital role in fostering their confidence, enhancing their educational experiences, and helping them achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for a KS1 class with a range of SEND. Cultivate an inclusive, supportive, and positive classroom atmosphere that promotes the growth and development of each child. Collaborate with support staff, therapists, and parents to create and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Monitor and assess student progress, using personalized strategies to encourage engagement and achievement. Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a holistic approach to student development. Build strong, supportive relationships with parents and carers, providing regular updates on their child’s progress. What We’re Looking For Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification. Experience teaching in KS1, ideally within a special educational needs setting. A strong understanding of SEND and experience working with young children with diverse needs. A creative and flexible teaching approach with the ability to inspire and engage students. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with colleagues, students, and families. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
