This is a 12-month Fixed-Term Contract, the role is based in our Witney, Oxfordshire office with a requirement of a minimum of 3 days in the office each week and frequent travel to our London office required.

The role
As Audley’s Assistant Controller, you will assist the Group Financial Controller through a busy time for the controllership teams by supporting day-to-day activities and a variety of strategic projects.
There will be a focus on the delivery of very large projects at Audley, where we will go-live with an implementation of Microsoft D365 for Finance & Operations (F&O), as its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system in 2024. As part of this project, the function is looking to embed new processes, and enhanced reporting and data management.
Key responsibilities include:
Financial Reporting:
* Provide coaching, support, and direction to the UK and US accountants with respect to the close process. Add an extra layer of review to the close process.
ERP project:
* Provide additional capacity to implement and stabilise D365 including report development.
* Help to develop capability in the team to support cloud-based ERP.
* Work with the Group Accountant to strengthen the control environment post go live.
Other Projects:
* Support the Group Financial Controller with a number of key strategic projects with financial data production and analysis.
* Be a key point of contact and communication with key stakeholders.
What we’re looking for:
* Qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA with significant post-qualification experience.
* Some experience of leading an accounting and financial reporting team.
* Able to share a wealth of knowledge and experience to help develop capabilities (financial reporting; procedures and controls; efficient close process).
* Some experience of ERP systems, especially Microsoft D365 F&O, is an advantage.
* Experience of Private Equity and/or transactions services related experience, in practice or whilst in industry, would be advantageous.
* Self-motivated with a keen eye for detail.
* Pro-active and able to use own initiative.
* Ability to communicate clearly.
* Build and develop relationships with key stakeholders quickly.
* Flexible team player.
* Able to work to tight deadlines within a busy environment.
* Good understanding of Office 365 including MS Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook.
