We have two full-time posts; one will be based in the Adult Cystic Fibrosis Ward (J06) caring for younger adults with Cystic Fibrosis and one will be based in the General Respiratory Ward (J09) supporting older and younger adults with COPD, Asthma, ILD, lung cancer, and other respiratory conditions.
About the Roles:
J06 - Cystic Fibrosis Ward: Join a state-of-the-art 12-bed inpatient unit, delivering care to young adults with cystic fibrosis. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with younger patients.
J09 - General Respiratory Ward: Provide high-quality care to adults with chronic and acute respiratory conditions; this role requires strong leadership skills to support a team of CSWs per shift.
This role requires a compassionate, patient-centred approach with a focus on providing high-quality care.

Main Duties of the Job
As a Senior Clinical Support Worker on the Adult Cystic Fibrosis (J06) or General Respiratory Ward (J09), you will provide compassionate care to patients, young adults with cystic fibrosis or older adults with chronic respiratory conditions like COPD, ILD, and lung cancer.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide direct and indirect patient care in support of the multidisciplinary team, helping manage complex respiratory conditions.
2. Undertake delegated clinical duties such as cannulation, venepuncture, and ECGs under supervision.
3. Lead in providing exemplary personalised patient-centred care.
4. On J09, lead and mentor a team of Clinical Support Workers and Apprentices, ensuring the smooth running of the ward.
5. Build close professional relationships with patients to support their physical and psychological recovery.
6. Maintain a safe, effective care environment that promotes patient well-being and aligns with Trust policies and statutory requirements.
7. Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, taking initiative to achieve the best patient outcomes.

Job Responsibilities
