The successful candidate will:
1. Be confident in their knowledge of the LDP curriculum (formerly NCELP)
2. Read widely, to stay up to date about current issues and developments in MFL teaching and learning
3. Have outstanding subject knowledge in Spanish
4. Be an active member of the MFL team and wider ‘Global Faculty’
5. Be fastidious, analytical and proactive in using formative assessment data to inform teaching
6. Believe in the potential and growth of all students, actively promoting growth mindset and metacognitive approaches
7. Be able to work with a blended curriculum and be flexible in your teaching methods and approaches
8. Be creative, persistent and resilient in supporting students
9. Be committed to developing enrichment opportunities for students
10. Be committed to growing the Academy's reading culture
11. Have the ability to reflect on students' progress and create schemes of work that are informed by fine data and observed need
12. Be passionate about teaching and learning and willing to innovate strategies to secure progress for all
13. Be a champion of the use of student ICT to enhance learning
14. Be able to use their own initiative
Lostock Hall Academy is first and foremost a happy school. Students enjoy lessons and the relationships between staff and students are excellent, which has been frequently noted by visitors and is mentioned as a strength of the school in our Ofsted report. Students behave well and have a good attitude to learning in the classroom.
