An opportunity has arisen within NHS Ayrshire and Arran for a motivated individual with appropriate leadership and management experience and skills to join the Women and Children’s Services management team.
The Assistant General Manager post is a varied and rewarding role that supports clinical and non-clinical teams. Under the direction of the General Manager you will be responsible for managing Services within Ayrshire Maternity Unit, which includes Gynaecology, Maternity, Neonatal and Sexual Health and Paediatric Services.
You will be responsible for managing operational aspects of these services to ensure the delivery of high quality, safe, efficient and effective patient centered care. You will manage the waiting times for services within this remit.
You will be expected to respond to patient concerns and complaints and dealing with general day to day issues, as well as providing general management assistance to the senior team.
You will work closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to develop new models of care and support service redesign.
You should be educated to degree level with a management qualification and/or equivalent management experience.
A car owner/driver is essential.
Hours 37 hours per week, over 5 days.
