Who we are looking for
A Senior Network Engineer, who will play a vital role in supporting the growth of our platform and ensuring the successful deployment of new products, whilst dealing with market leading vendors.
You will be responsible for maintaining and supporting our complex network infrastructure to ensure seamless connectivity, high availability, and optimal performance across multiple global locations.
As part of a team that has grown in line with the exponential growth of the Business, you will be expected to provide on-call support for critical operations and make high-pressure decisions, ensuring the maximum availability and resiliency of our website and products.

This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy although on site cover is required for high profile, critical work.
Preferred skills and experience
* Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting network devices at a low-level, including switches, routers, firewalls, and access points.
* Knowledge of network protocols such as Ethernet, TCP/IP, VLANs, and routing protocols such as OSPF or BGP.
* Familiarity with network troubleshooting tools, with the ability to diagnose and resolve network issues.
* Understanding of network security principles, including Access Control Lists (ACLs), firewall policies, and VPN configurations.
* Experience in working with low-level network protocols and technologies, such as DHCP, DNS, NAT, and IP addressing.
* Ability to perform basic network device configurations, including firmware upgrades, port configurations, and VLAN assignments.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly identify and resolve network issues.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and work well in a diverse, global environment.
* Continuous learning mind-set and the ability to stay updated with the latest industry advancements, certifications, and best practices in network engineering.
Main Responsibilities
* Managing critical issues and risks, providing best practice solutions.
* Monitoring the mailbox and responding promptly to incidents and service requests, providing technical support to end-users and resolving network-related issues.
* Supporting and maintaining our network infrastructure to ensure seamless connectivity, high availability, and optimum performance.
* Configuring and troubleshooting network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls and wireless access points and training others as required.
* Monitoring network performance and proactively identifying and resolving issues to ensure optimal uptime, throughput, and latency.
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand Business requirements and provide network solutions that align with organisational objectives.
* Performing network upgrades, including firmware updates and hardware replacements, while minimising disruption to the operation.
* Documenting network configurations, diagrams and troubleshooting guides to maintain an accurate record of the network infrastructure.
* Being available for critical Business work during unsociable hours when required.
* Providing on call support out of hours, including weekends, on a rotation with other members of the team.
