Job Description
As an Engineering Geologist, you will be pivotal in analyzing and interpreting geological data to support the successful delivery of our projects. Your main responsibilities will include:
* Geological Mapping and Sampling: Execute field investigations to collect rock and soil samples, creating detailed geological maps that inform project decisions.
* Site Investigation: Lead comprehensive site assessments to determine geotechnical properties, overseeing drilling and sampling activities.
* Data Analysis and Reporting: Use specialized software to analyze geological data, preparing reports that guide engineering designs and construction plans.
* Risk Assessment: Identify geological risks associated with project sites and develop effective mitigation strategies.
* Project Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, environmental scientists, and project managers to ensure geological factors are integrated throughout project planning and execution.
* Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all geological activities comply with relevant environmental laws and standards.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or related field.
* Demonstrable experience as an Engineering Geologist, preferably within the renewable energy or infrastructure sectors.
* Proficiency in geological software and GIS technologies.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills, capable of delivering clear and concise reports.
* Legal right to work in the UK.
