Managing Promotion and Income for Charities | Fundraising | Marketing | Communications | Media | Cornish Maid
We are seeking an enthusiastic and results-driven Community Events Officer to join our team. This individual will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and executing fundraising events and initiatives that engage the local community, strengthen relationships with supporters, and raise funds to support our charity’s mission. The ideal candidate will be a creative and motivated professional with strong communication skills and a passion for making a positive impact.

Key Responsibilities:
* Fundraising Strategy and Planning: To assist the Income Generation Team in delivering against their financial and non-financial targets as specified within the fundraising strategy. Work closely with the Income Generation Team to align event planning with our missions and objectives.
* Event Management: Support with planning, organising and managing fundraising events, both virtual and in-person, internal and external. Support with coordinate all logistics, including venue selection, permits, budget management, and public relations.
* Community Engagement: Cultivate relationships with local businesses, community groups, and key stakeholders. Build long-term partnerships that contribute to ongoing fundraising success and community involvement. Deliver tours of the Centre to supporters autonomously.
* Donor Stewardship: Engage with donors and participants before, during, and after events to ensure their continued involvement and support. Manage donor recognition programs to show appreciation for contributions.
* Marketing and Promotion: Support the Marketing Manager with development of marketing materials, social media campaigns, and email outreach to promote fundraising events and activities.
* Budgeting and Financial Management: Manage event budgets, track expenses, and ensure fundraising events stay within financial parameters. Report on event performance, including funds raised, costs, and ROI.
* Reporting and Evaluation: Track and report on fundraising progress and event effectiveness. Provide recommendations for future improvements and share outcomes with stakeholders and leadership.
* Networking and Partnerships: Identify new fundraising opportunities through corporates, local businesses, schools, and organisations. Attend community events and network to promote the charity’s mission, aims and objectives.
Qualifications:
* Experience: Proven experience in event planning, fundraising, or community outreach, preferably in a nonprofit environment.
* Skills: Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong project management abilities and the capacity to juggle multiple events and priorities at once.
* Knowledge: Understanding of fundraising principles, donor relations, and budget management.
