Activities Co-ordinator at HC-One
In your role as an Activities Co-ordinator at HC-One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It influences every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every team member understands that our Residents are individuals with their own stories, just like everyone else. By joining HC-One, you’ll have a wonderful opportunity to give back to these individuals.
Your responsibilities will include planning and implementing activities that delight our Residents, assisting the Home Manager with organising fundraising events, and encouraging Residents’ socialisation. You will develop activities based on Residents’ hobbies and involve the care team, always with kindness as your guiding principle.
We are looking for someone with experience working with vulnerable individuals, preferably in developing activity programmes. Your positive energy, ability to connect with people, and excellent planning, organisational, and IT skills are essential. You should manage your time effectively and communicate considerately and kindly with Residents and colleagues.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognise signs of abuse, harm, or neglect, know the appropriate actions to take, and attend relevant safeguarding training. You should also be able to seek advice and report concerns appropriately.
We offer full training and a variety of benefits to support your well-being and professional growth, including:
* Part-time hours (25 hours per week)
* Competitive hourly rate based on experience and qualifications
* Paid Enhanced DBS/PVG
* Free uniform
* Nutritious meals during shifts of eight hours or more
* Company pension scheme
* 28 days annual leave including bank holidays
* Group life assurance
* Wagestream for flexible pay access
* Learning and development opportunities, including qualifications
* GP online service for staff and their children under 16
* Access to high street discounts
* Employee Assistance Programme for support with physical, mental, and financial issues
* Recognition schemes like ‘Kindness in Care’ and Long Service Awards
* Refer-a-friend scheme with rewards up to £1000
We are committed to inclusivity and encourage applicants from all backgrounds. We aim for a quick onboarding process so you can start making a difference from day one.
