QUALITY ENGINEER NEWBRIDGE

Main Purpose of Role
To work under the direct command, management and tutelage of the senior Quality Engineer. Working to ensure the quality assurance of manufactured products within Axiom manufacturing services, utilising process control and continuous improvement through best practice tools and techniques, using IPC Standards as a guideline to electronic manufacturing assembly.
To support key functions of the Quality department (FAIR's, CAPA's, FMEA's, Control plans etc.)
Outcomes of Role
1. Satisfied internal and external customers.
2. 100% Data reconciliation with customers (PPM C OTDIF) each month.
3. Customer corrective actions to be closed within 7 working days of concern.
4. Generation and distribution of FAIR's to AS9102 standard based on customer requirements.
5. Generation of process FMEA's and control plans across all manufacturing processes and product specific FMEA / Control Plans when requested by the customer.
6. Control of the material quarantine store (Monthly reconciliation).
7. Compliance with ESD Standard BS EN 61340.
8. Compliance with MSD Standard IPC/JEDEC J-STD-033.
Responsibilities
1. Issue PPM and OTDIF reports to assigned customers and reconcile results (Monthly).
2. Review and closure of customer complaints (Within 7 working days of receipt).
3. Customer quality contact for designated customers.
4. Support for supplier CAPA's C FVR's.
5. ESD audits and process control to ensure compliance to BS EN 61340.
6. MSD audits and process control to ensure compliance to IPC/JEDEC J-STD-033.
7. Daily humidity and temperature data recording.
8. Quarantine store control monthly report.
9. Conduct BMS audits in line with the BMS audit schedule.
10. Ensure continuous improvement through QOS data analysis, whiteboards and department action plans.
11. Review and update process FMEA's and control plans within a cross-functional team.
12. Quality representative during NPI process (RFQ and Handover) ensuring customer requirements are documented.
13. Ensure that all company operating values and compliance procedures are adhered to at all times, including quality management, health and safety, legal stipulation, environmental policies and general duty of care.
14. Any other duties deemed necessary.
Person Specification
Essential Skills:
1. Must be computer literate.
2. Working in teams.
Desirable Skills:
1. IPC/JEDEC J-STD-033.
2. IPC IPC-610.
3. IPC/7711 / 7721.
Essential Knowledge:
1. Fast-paced manufacturing background.
Salary
£36,000 - £38,000 plus pension, cash plan healthcare and Death in Service 6x salary.
Working Hours:
8am until 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8am - 1pm Friday.
