Manufacturing Engineer - Aerospace - Permanent - GloucestershireA Manufacturing Engineer with a strong background within assembly and test is required for a Gloucestershire based organisation who are a globally successful aerospace business operating within the precision and safety critical engineering sector. As the Manufacturing Engineer you shall be responsible for supporting engineering with various technical issues in such areas as design, documentation and specifications. There will be a focus placed upon tool and fixture design, quotation and also implementation into production whilst liaising and supporting new product introduction from initial bid through to final pass off. You will act as the key interface between active departments such as quality, engineering and design. For the role of Manufacturing Engineer you must have the following:A proven background within precision manufacturing Assembly and Test.Experience of hydro - mechanical components/products is highly desirable.An in - depth knowledge of processes associated with assembly and test.A working knowledge of SolidWorks Cad packages would be advantageous.Excellent communication skills to facilitate cross functional support.Support and instigate continuous improvement activities such as cost out initiatives and process flow improvements.Interview for the Manufacturing Engineer position will commence with immediate effect with a view to starting as soon as the 13th June but is negotiable.
