Chassis Project Engineer
The Role
As a Chassis Project Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the development and integration of the braking, suspension, and steering systems, as well as wheels and tyres. You’ll collaborate across disciplines to resolve engineering challenges, manage change processes, and ensure components meet our exacting standards from concept through to production release. In a fast-paced and challenging environment, you’ll need to be robust and adaptable, managing shifting priorities while maintaining focus under pressure. Your ability to balance multiple demands without compromising on quality and delivery will be essential.
Key Responsibilities
1. Own the engineering, validation, and release of chassis systems and components.
2. Manage issue resolution, driving solutions through engineering change and into production.
3. Collaborate closely with key stakeholders across the business, influencing design, manufacturing, and quality teams.
4. Engage directly with strategic suppliers, ensuring technical requirements and performance targets are met.
5. Support vehicle build phases, resolving technical challenges in real time.
6. Champion continuous improvement, driving refinements in design, performance, and durability.
What We’re Looking For
1. Strong technical understanding of chassis systems, including suspension, braking and steering, as well as wheels and tyres.
2. Experience in engineering change management and taking components from development to production.
3. Ability to influence and collaborate across different teams and seniority levels.
4. Experience working directly with suppliers and external partners.
5. A passion for precision engineering and a commitment to excellence.
6. Automotive experience is essential; familiarity with high-performance or luxury vehicles is a plus.
