Registered Children's Home Manager (EBD) - Liverpool\n\nAre you a hands-on, down-to-earth leader with a passion for therapeutic care? Brighter Horizons Care & Support is expanding its EBD children's homes in Liverpool and needs an experienced Registered Manager to lead one of their new homes with the potential to grow alongside the business.\n\n£45k - £55k (D.O.E) \nFull-time\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n* Lead the home in full compliance with Ofsted regulations, Children's Homes Regulations 2015, and Quality Standards.\n* Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), ensuring child protection and robust risk management.\n* Drive staff development through supervision, training, and performance management.\n* Oversee Ofsted inspections, policies, and record-keeping to maintain Good/Outstanding ratings.\n* Manage budgets, resources, and home maintenance for a safe, nurturing environment.\n* Build multi-agency partnerships (LAs, social workers, health) and advocate for children's voices.\n\nEssential Criteria:\n* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).\n* Minimum 2 years of experience in a children's residential care setting in the last 5 years.\n* At least 1 year of management experience in a children's home.\n* Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, Children's Homes Regulations 2015, and the Quality Standards.\n* Experience in safeguarding, child protection, and risk management.\n* Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively.\n* Excellent communication, decision-making, and organisational skills.\n* Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations.\n* Enhanced DBS check (required).\n\nDesirable Criteria:\n* Experience in managing a Good or Outstanding Ofsted-rated home.\n* Understanding of therapeutic models of care.\n* Experience in setting up a new children's home and achieving Ofsted registration.\n\nIf interested and feel like you're the right fit to come and make a difference, then apply directly with your CV and contact details\n\nSearch is an equal opportunities recruiter and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified applicants, regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation or age
