JOB PURPOSE
As our Risk Data Manager at Burberry, you'll work closely with our Risk & Insurance teams to bring a data-driven approach to our risk management process. By enhancing the maturity and quality of our risk data, you will enable the business to drive strategic decisions more effectively and to provide more accurate analysis and reporting around risk. You will also independently lead and coordinate risk data-related activities across different functions and levels of seniority, ensuring consistency and compliance with risk data standards. From an Insurance perspective, you'll support with requirements across our insurance contracts and policies, including invoices, assisting claims management, and ensuring the risk recommendations from insurers are followed through.
This Risk Data Analyst role is offered on a full-time, permanent basis and will be based in our Horseferry House, London office a minimum of 2/3 days per week.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Independently lead and coordinate risk data-related activities across various functions and seniority levels, ensuring adherence to risk data standards.
2. Conduct risk analytics to quantify risks for Group external disclosures, including collecting and manipulating data from multiple sources, establishing key risk metrics, interpreting data, and creating dashboards for visualizing results to effectively communicate with stakeholders.
3. Manage data and interpret analytical outputs for responding to ad-hoc risk assessments and deep dives from the Board and Risk Committee.
4. Develop process guides for technical work, including models and visualization.
5. Maintain and operate the Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) tool to manage the Group's internal risks and controls.
6. Present data analysis and risk metrics to senior stakeholders to enhance discussion around risk movement and validation of effective mitigation.
7. Develop an insurance claim database to record and monitor claims in the business (covering Property, Marine transport, and Liability) including gathering information to submit to insurers/third parties.
8. Consolidate information from various functions across the Group for the gathering of underwriting information to complete the insurers proposal form.
9. Manage the payment process from initial PO setup to payment for our insurance premiums in the UK, US, Italy, and the Middle East.
10. Proactively encourage the use of new technology across Risk and Internal Audit.
11. Develop relationships with key stakeholders across the business including key data partners across IT, Digital, and Finance.
12. Contribute actively to the development, profile, and strategic direction of the Internal Audit & Risk team.

1. Highly experienced in performance of data analytics and supporting technology including:
* Advanced Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint
* PowerBi/Tableau
* SQL
* SAP
1. Experience as part of a delivery/development team.
2. Risk management experience.
3. Awareness of group entity structure and business process overall.
4. Excellent communication skills across all levels.
5. Fluency in English (verbal & written) essential.
