Job Overview: As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with diverse needs on their educational journey. Working closely with the dedicated teaching staff and the Special Education Needs Coordinator (SENCO), you will provide individualized assistance and care to students with conditions such as mild to moderate Autistic Spectrum Disorders, language impairment, emotional issues, sensory needs, and medical needs. Your compassionate and patient approach will be vital in helping these students overcome obstacles and achieve their fullest potential. Key Responsibilities: • Collaborate with teachers to create and implement personalized educational plans for students with diverse needs. • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, both in and outside the classroom, to facilitate their learning and development. • Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes independence, self-confidence, and positive social interactions. • Assist students in developing communication and language skills, as well as managing emotional challenges effectively. • Support students with sensory and medical needs, ensuring their well-being and comfort throughout the school day. • Observe and record students'' progress, contributing to assessments and reports as required. • Work closely with the SENCO and other staff to maintain a cohesive and supportive learning environment for all students. Requirements: • Previous experience working with students with diverse special needs is highly desirable, though not mandatory.
