We have an exciting opportunity for an organised and enthusiastic Lead Science Technician to join the team at Hazel Grove High School. The duties will include providing an efficient and effective technician support service to the school’s science department.

This position is contracted on a 37 hours per week Term Time only basis. This means you will mainly work when the school is open to pupils and will not need to work during the school holidays unless the contract requires you to do so. In total you will be in work for a minimum of 37 out of 52 weeks.
Job Purpose
* Liaise with the Laurus Trust Lead Technician in order to help lead the planning and preparation of new materials/equipment/apparatus throughout the year.
* Lead the School Senior Science Technicians within the school in order to ensure that all materials/equipment/apparatus is set up appropriately for practical lessons or demonstrations across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
Key Skills & Experience
* Sound educational background including GCSE’s in Maths and English (A*-C) or equivalent, as well as A-Level (A*-C) Science or equivalent qualification.
* Knowledge of Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
* Prior experience in a similar role.
