Deputy Service Manager - Band 5 - Permanent(Monday-Friday, Flexible hours between 08.00-18.00)

A permanent opportunity has arisen in the Outpatients Directorate for a full time Deputy Service Manager to join our busy Outpatients service across the directorate.
We are looking for a confident, well-motivated, pro-active individual to support the delivery of high quality and timely care for our patients.
You will be supporting the Outpatients Specialty General Manager's to deliver key KPI's and ensure performance standards are met. You will cover all aspects of service delivery including some staff management. We are looking for someone who can enthusiastically take on these challenges and be part of part of a growing team.
You will have experience in staff management and project work, both leading and delivering. You will be able to work under pressure and work to deadlines, have good communication and negotiation skills, and excellent planning, time management and organisational skills. You will be able to prioritise your workload and be able to delegate your team's workload throughout the day. You must be able to take on additional responsibility when required and be able use initiative to problem solve existing issues and any potential problems that may arise.
This would suit any candidate looking to further progress their career towards a senior management role, or to gain further operational and strategic experience within the NHS.
It is preferable to have had some experience working at a similar level within the NHS and line manager experience is desirable.
Our team is made up of admin teams, nursing and medical colleagues and we are looking for someone who understands the importance of engaging all colleagues and who has a good understanding of RTT performance indicators as well as an enthusiasm for improving the patient experience in our specialties
The administration team consists of a variety of administration roles, providing a high quality administration service to both patient and clinical teams.
