Join Our Housekeeping Team!
We are looking for a Housekeeping Operative to join our friendly Hygiene team working Monday to Friday from 18:00-02:30. Starting salary is £12.70 basic rate with a 1.25% enhancement (which is £15.88 p/h) for hours worked between 8pm and 6am and for hours over 37.5 per week. This combination of base and enhanced pay rates delivers approximately £563 per week gross.

Key Responsibilities
Our Housekeeping Operative will be responsible for:
Cleaning Duties
* Staff Canteen: Cleaning floors, walls, windows, tables, chairs, bins, sinks, fridges, microwaves, and more.
* Baking of pastries: for night shift colleagues when the night Chef is absent (every Friday and other ad-hoc days). Full training will be provided.
* Locker Rooms: Maintaining cleanliness of floors, bins, doors, and lockers.
* PPE Changing Room: Cleaning floors, bins, sinks, mirrors, walls, shoe and boot racks.
* Entranceways, Corridors, and Stairs: Cleaning floors, walls, doors, handles, mats, and storage areas.
* External Premises: Emptying and washing bins, brushing up around smoking areas, and removing rubbish or hazards from entrances.
* Washrooms: Cleaning toilet cubicles, urinals, floors, sinks, bins, air vents, pipes, doors, tiles, and walls across six washrooms.
* Production Offices: Performing office cleaning tasks (vacuuming, emptying bins, cleaning desks and cabinets) while wearing full food-safe PPE.
* Other Offices: Performing office cleaning tasks (vacuuming, emptying bins, emptying dishwasher, etc.).
* Ad-hoc cleaning within our Factory production floor may be required.
Operational Responsibilities
* Adhering to prescribed quality management systems and best practices, including the “clean as you go” policy.
* Maintaining accurate records to demonstrate compliance with quality procedures and standards.
* Operating industrial cleaning machinery safely (subject to training).
* Reporting any issues within the production or hygiene areas.
Hygiene Standards
* Maintaining high personal hygiene standards at all times.
Key Attributes
* Experience: Previous experience in a food manufacturing or hygiene environment.
* Training: Completion of certifications in Food Safety, Health and Safety, Chemical Awareness, and Working at Heights.
