Senior Nursery Nurse/Room LeaderOur Client is looking to employ a Senior Level 3 Qualified Nursery Nurse/Room Leader for their high-quality bespoke private nursery based near Cannock, Staffordshire. The successful candidate must work passionately with the ever-changing climate of childcare to ensure we are accounting for any pioneering research or digging deep into theory to support children in reaching their potentialThis is a unique opportunity for someone who is looking to further their career in childcare, as this role offers professional development to a more managerial position in the future. The setting supports staff to progress in their knowledge through robust continued professional development programmesMain Duties for this roleTo have an in depth understanding of the EYFSTo support the manager/Deputy in the smooth running of the setting this will include but is not inclusive of:Demonstrating outstanding practice through leadership of a designated room.Supporting the staff team in developing practise though modelling and or trainingLiaising with parents and other professional agencies to support children's learning.Reviewing policy and procedure and ensuring policy is followed at all timesTaking the lead in the absence of the managerUnderstanding the needs of the business.Being an ambassador to the nursery.To take responsibility for an area of the nursery – this could be SENCO, health and safety, parent partnership, student support, Early years lead– see your agreed scheduleTo understand registers/booking systems inc fundingSupport staff teams with planningTo support the organisation of open days/ parent workshop/ parents meetings etc which may be outside of your normal hours.To support the manager in the nursery as requested.To support the manager as Designated Safeguarding lead.Key holder responsibility as required.EssentialMinimum of a relevant and recognised Level 3 qualificationEvidence of ongoing personal development trainingDesire to continue with professional developmentTo have a current live DBSKnowledge of legislation relevant to Early Years such as EYFS, SEN, safeguarding, Childcare Act 2006 incl Safeguarding Level 1Experience in working with childrenKnowledge of Child Development and children's needsBenefits• Competitive Salary• Career Progression Opportunities• Working in a setting that has excellent indoor and outdoor facilitiesIf this sounds like the type of vacancy you feel you have been looking for, then call Ollie or one of our Nursery Team on 01926 676369 or register your details by emailing your most up to date CV toTPBN1_UKTJ
