Domestic Cleaning Supervisor
Based at Prestwich Hospital – M45 7JZ

Band 3 - £12.31/hr (Weekdays) - £16.62/hr (Saturdays) - £20.80/hr (Sundays)
25 hours per week – Monday to Sunday on a forward rota
Core hours 08.00-13.00 and 13.00-18.00 – Must be flexible to work either shift any 5 days from 7 per week as required.

Job Overview
1. Assist the Deputy Facilities Manager in effectively managing the housekeeping department.
2. Maintain and improve the standard of the overall environment and services within the Department.
3. Together with the Team Leaders, ensure that patient and staff environments are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.
4. Provide effective senior support to a group of staff, requiring appropriate people, co-ordination, communication, and collaborative skills.
5. Assist the Team Leader in providing a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and colleagues.
6. Work flexibly to respond to the needs of the service and the department, which operates on multiple sites 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
The skills required are:
1. A motivated and enthusiastic person with the necessary skills to support and effectively supervise the domestics.
2. Knowledge of Health and Safety, COSHH, and Infection Prevention strategies relating to standards of hospital cleanliness.
3. Good level of IT skills.
4. Experience of managing staff.
5. Cleaning experience.
6. Reliability.
