Job summary This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team. As the first point of contact for the Devizes Health Centre, the impression you create will be lasting. You will be the first to assist our patients with their enquiries, helping to create a positive experience for all visitors to the Health Centre. This is a part-time position of 11.5 hours per week; 4.30pm - 6.30pm daily, Monday to Friday, with extended hours on a Tuesday 4.30pm - 8.00pm. Candidates will need to be flexible to cover additional hours, when required, to meet the needs of the business. The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working in a receptionist role. General Practice and TPP SystmOne experience would be a bonus, but full training and induction will be given. Any potential candidate must be able to work autonomously, be organised, self-motivated, forward thinking and have excellent organisational, IT and customer service skills. You must be a confident, loyal, hard-working team player with a can-do approach to your work. The job is varied and you will be required to multi-task, make decisions using your own initiative, and be willing to take on addition responsibilities as the role evolves to meet the needs of the business. Main duties of the job The purpose of the role is to: Offer general assistance to the PCN team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors. Assist all visitors to the Health Centre in a courteous, efficient and effective way Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the Health Centre. Facilitate effective communication between patients, members the PCN team, and other associated healthcare professionals.
