Electrical Assembly Technician

The Peterborough Service Centre is home to a large-scale regeneration facility as well as the base for a fleet of over 100 mobile water treatment units, primarily fixed within trailers and containers.
We are looking for an Electrical Assembly Technician with electrician skills who will be responsible for the electrical builds of water treatment equipment.
Full training on our products is planned into our Induction.
This is an interesting and important role for our business that leads into a full career path with Veolia Water Technologies and Solutions.
This position is based 100% at our site in Peterborough.
What are the day to day duties?
Fabrication, installation, and documentation of cables, trays, and rack assemblies Single-phase, three-phase, high-voltage, and low-voltage electrical circuits
Preparation, soldering, and termination of wire cable harnesses
Using blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints, and electronic schematics
Troubleshooting electrical instrumentation and mechanical equipment and presenting technical solutions to address these issues.
Finding problems using programmable logic controllers (PLC) and communicating with the manufacturing and maintenance team to prevent impact on the equipment.
Programming instrumentation to relay information to a central HMI
Testing analog inputs and outputs to ensure accurate calibration.
Configuration of equipment using PLC interfaces (GE Fanuc, Allan Bradley, Siemens)
Commissioning of special build equipment, electrically and mechanically.
Maintaining the quality of all the products, performing incoming and outgoing quality control tests, inspections, and repair of all plant and field equipment.
Live working at 400V
Electrical inspection and testing (EIC, EICR and PAT)

Qualifications
What skills would we like to see on your CV?
City And Guilds Level 3 in electrical installations or equivalent 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
NVQ3 in electrical based units
City and Guilds 2391 – Electrical testing and inspection
Passport to safety or equivalent
Experience in industrial electrical works
