A day in the life of an Ascent Scheduler...
As a Scheduler, you will be part of a dedicated, experienced and focused team delivering outstanding and vital support to flying operations. You will be concentrated on Air Safety as you ensure you schedule accurately and efficiently so that staff and trainees can achieve their training missions by day and night. You will:
* Write a busy training schedule covering classroom, synthetics and live flying sorties utilising various IT systems supporting a modern approach to air operations delivery.
* Control a dynamic and flexible aircraft scheduling plan, liaising with flying supervisors, aircrew on the ground and key partners to ensure a safe and efficient plan is met.
* Maintain accurate records to report sorties achieved and report any failures or cancellations using the correct reporting systems.
* Work together with our customer, and key partners, to ensure that the daily flying programme requirements are delivered on time.
* Schedule and deliver the night flying programme when required.
* Provide data and progress reports to inform performance reporting requirements.
* Work closely with the Training Management team to maximise course output.
* Respond to various aviation emergencies in a timely and calm manner.

You will already have a breadth of experience working within a similar complex and fast-paced environment. You will thrive working as part of the scheduling team along with our key partners in order to deliver the best possible support to the aircrew. Your strong communication skills and the ability to quickly prioritise will be vital in a fast-paced and dynamic aviation environment.
You will enjoy working in a team that is focused on safety and a desire to deliver a timely and accurate schedule including programming flights, synthetics and classroom lessons on time, every time. You will know the importance of being able to work successfully in situations that can often be pressured.
It would be great, however not essential if you have prior experience within military aviation operations environment.
You will also:
* Have experience of using IT based ops support systems.
* Be able to demonstrate experience of working in an air safety critical environment responding to changing notifications and warnings.
* Have strong communications skills and experience working alongside stakeholders from customers to key partners.
* Be able to demonstrate flexibility and the ability to solve problems quickly and safely.
