A great opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Dietitian with some experience, to join the Harrow Community team based at
Alexander Avenue in Harrow. Due to the Pandemic, we have reverted to some remote working, but face-to-face work is growing as required.
The overall community team provides an extensive clinic service to Harrow GP practices and in addition, we run a specialised nutrition support clinic and carry out group teaching sessions for patients. Harrow has a diverse population, and a wide range of nutrition related conditions are prevalent within the community.
We deliver Dietetic Student placements.
While the training of health professionals such as Community nurses and nursing home staff, is a focus for the Team.
A car driver is essential, but not a car owner, as the team has a shared car for your use
This post involves working with patients who require Home Enteral Nutrition in their own home, nursing and residential homes. There will be plenty of opportunity for you to gain, a wide range of experience in various clinical areas, such as stroke, neurological conditions, e.g., motor neurones disease, and learning/physical disabilities. You will work alongside our band 7 specialist Home Enteral Nutrition lead. However, you will also form part of the wider community team of 7 Dietitians, sharing CPD, projects and development of resources.
A weekly, general GP clinic will include diabetes, weight management, CHD prevention, and oral nutrition support.
