Job Summary
Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, Windsor Casino Limited, the Beverage Supervisor provides leadership and guidance to all Beverage employees. Responsibilities include:
* Assigning and coordinating the work of employees to promote efficiency of operation.
* Training, developing, orientating, scheduling, evaluating, and disciplining beverage staff.
* Complying with Windsor Casino Limited policies and procedures.
* Ensuring all liquor laws are adhered to and enforced by staff at all times.
* Initiating customer liquor refusals and resolving any customer concerns.
* Preparing accurate and concise daily reports of the operation during and at the end of each shift.
* Conducting pre and post shift meetings with incoming employees and Supervisors.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in a casino/hospitality environment related to alcohol sales and service, in progressively responsible positions, or experience deemed acceptable by Windsor Casino Limited. Additional requirements include:
* Valid Smart Serve certification required.
* Knowledge of word processing applications, spreadsheet applications, industry-related software applications, and e-mail applications.
* Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
* Equivalent to a Post Secondary Degree or College Diploma in Hospitality Management and/or a related field.
* Ability to obtain a Gaming Employee License.
* Must be able to work all shifts.
Physical Demands
Physical effort requiring manual dexterity is occasionally required (i.e. between 1% and 33% of time on the job).
