Job Purpose
As Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and expanding major global blue-chip accounts within the food and beverage industry while also contributing to new customer acquisition.
Orderly is known for exceptionally high client retention rates and outstanding CSAT scores, and your role will focus on building strong customer relationships, ensuring account growth, and identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities. Additionally, you will dedicate time each week to proactively seeking new business opportunities outside of the existing client base, supporting Orderly’s continued expansion.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management & Growth
* Manage and nurture existing key customers, ensuring outstanding client satisfaction, engagement, and long-term retention.
* Identify and execute upselling and cross-selling opportunities, increasing product and service adoption.
* Drive sales growth and sustainability objectives, supporting the customer’s carbon reduction targets.
* Develop and execute strategic account plans, collaborating with key stakeholders and internal teams to maximise value.
* Act as a trusted advisor, providing technical expertise and consultative solutions to enhance the client’s operational success with Orderly’s products.
* Proactively manage customer risks, safeguarding revenue streams while identifying areas for further expansion.
* Guide customers through the buying process, addressing objections and positioning solutions effectively.
* Maintain accurate records of account activities, sales opportunities, and client interactions within the CRM system.
New Business Development
* Allocate dedicated time each week to identifying and engaging with potential new customers outside of the existing client base.
* Research and prospect new businesses, ensuring alignment with Orderly’s solutions and sustainability mission.
* Conduct outreach via calls, emails, LinkedIn, and networking events to generate new business opportunities.
* Maintain an active pipeline of potential new customers, tracking progress in the CRM.
* Collaborate with the team to develop targeted proposals and pitches for new business prospects.
* Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to expand Orderly’s market presence.
* Ensure that new business efforts contribute to Orderly’s overall growth strategy, helping to establish new partnerships and revenue streams.
Additional Duties
* Support escalations, VBRs, and QBRs as required.
* Contribute to the product roadmap and Account Plans.
* Assist in developing Functional Specs, SoWs, and contract management.
* Champion IT security across products and technical teams.
* Live and promote Orderly’s B-Corp values throughout the organisation and customer interactions.
Requirements
We are looking for an exceptional candidate with a proven track record in:
* Sales (SaaS) within a B2B environment.
* Account management and expansion – Strong ability to strengthen customer relationships, drive upsell/cross-sell opportunities, and deliver strategic value.
* New Business Development – Experience in proactively identifying and engaging with new customers to drive company growth.
* Strong technical understanding of integrations, web performance, security, and enterprise software environments.
* Self-motivated and commercially astute, with a consultative and strategic sales approach.
* Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, capable of engaging senior decision-makers.
* A demonstrable track record of exceeding sales targets.
* Experience working with CRM systems, ensuring accurate tracking of account activity and new business efforts.
* Willingness and ability to travel nationally and internationally.
* A self-starter attitude – proactive, determined, and motivated to drive results.
Desirable
* Sales experience in software or retail.
* Training in Consultative Selling Methodology (Miller Heiman, SPIN Selling, Challenger Sales).
* Experience in developing tailored business proposals.
