Our client, a reputable entity in the Public Sector, is seeking a Building Compliance and Safety Surveyor to join their team within the HTP discipline.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and manage all construction-related projects in compliance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM).
Ensure all relevant persons comply with CDM and associated legislation.
Manage safe systems of work, ensuring adherence to relevant processes and procedures.
Review and audit safety compliance processes, performing quality control checks and updating systems as necessary.
Provide robust support to staff, including auditing and compliance management.
Maintain an up-to-date register of projects and act as a centre point for CDM knowledge and compliance.
Carry out site audits for ongoing works and projects.
Produce regular compliance-related reports and contribute to other team activities as required.
Job Requirements:
Experience in building surveying or a related field with a strong understanding of CDM regulations.
Formal qualifications supporting a track record of overseeing complex construction projects.
Ability to review and approve or decline appointments based on qualifications and competence.
Skilled in reviewing Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS).
Experience providing guidance and training on RAMS, CDM, and permit procedures.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to compile comprehensive reports.
Motivated, adaptable, and capable of working effectively both independently and within a team.
Proactive in performing tasks that ensure the effective management of the premises.
