Enfield Legal Services are recruiting two entry-level lawyers, Property Lawyers/ILEX/Licensed Conveyancer to undertake a varied case load including regeneration projects, residential acquisitions/disposals, Right to Buy disposals, licences, leases, title work and basic planning section 106 agreements/unilateral undertakings. This may suit someone wishing to move from a private law firm or charity sector to a career in local government. This is a great opportunity for a talented and ambitious professional to join a friendly, committed and highly regarded in-house legal team to help deliver quality legal advice, as well as making a real contribution to the quality of life and sustainability of the borough.
We are looking for either a newly qualified through the trainee solicitor route, or you may be practicing in another area but keen to move into property. In any event you will need to be a team player who is self-motivated and flexible with exceptional communication skills. You will quickly be supported to learn the practice area and hold your own caseload where you will be required to work to tight timescales with the necessary support to enable you to succeed. Candidates will need to have a good understanding of conveyancing law and practice, though not necessarily in a local authority context and must have good drafting skills.
This post is classified as a flexible worker and requires 2 days office attendance a week, although during the probationary period to support learning and assisting the post holder to excel in the role office attendance may be up to 5 days per week.
